Jan-Willem has competed up to the 1.50m level. At the age of 18, he became Dutch Junior Champion and represented the Netherlands at the Youth European Championships in Athens. Since then, he has focused primarily on further developing his expertise in the trade of show jumping horses.

After winning a silver team medal at the 1997 Junior European Championships in Moorsele, Joffra went on to study Business Administration at university. Alongside her career in the business world, she has always competed up to the 1.40m level as an amateur.

Jan-Willem and Joffra have passed on their passion for top-level sport to their children, Willem and Joep. Joep, in particular, is focused on high-level competition and has already achieved several successes in recent years.
